Kish Hospital Welcomes New Doctors
October 21, 2009 

Kishwaukee Community Hospital is pleased to welcome several new physicians to the community.

Savitharani Sampath , MD , board certified pediatrician, recently joined the medical staff and is practicing with Dr. Umesh Goswami at Children’s Health Care Center in DeKalb. Dr. Sampath has special interests in infectious diseases, asthma, and primary and preventative pediatrics.

Paula M. Hobson, MD, board certified obstetrician/gynecologist, recently joined the medical staff and is practicing with Dr. Joseph Baumgart at Northern Illinois Fertility, SC Women and Children’s Center in DeKalb. Dr. Hobson has special interests in high risk pregnancy, sexual and emotional health. Dr. Hobson was an obstetrics nurse at Kishwaukee Community Hospital several years ago before going to medical school and becoming a physician.

Syed S. Jafri, MD, FAAP, board certified pediatrician, recently joined the medical staff and is practicing at DeKalb Clinic Charted in Sycamore. Dr. Jafri has special interests in AD/HD, obesity, and parent education. Dr. Jafri joined the DeKalb Clinic following Dr. Heriberto Menendez’s move out of the area.

Sijun Yang , MD , board certified internist, recently joined the medical staff and is practicing at DeKalb Clinic Charted in Sycamore. Dr. Yang has special interests in the care and treatment of adult patients, including neurological, cerebral and cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and preventive medicine, along with new clinical medicine trials. Dr. Yang joined the DeKalb Clinic following the retirement of Dr. William Lee.
