Community Blood Drive at Kishwaukee Community Hospital
July 24, 2008Kishwaukee Community Hospital is hosting a community blood drive Friday, Aug. 1, from noon to 6 p.m. in the Roberts Conference Center. Donating blood is completely safe, and organizations like the Heartland Blood Centers rely on volunteers for support.
To schedule an appointment call the hospital at 815.756.1521 or sign up at the reception desk. A photo ID is required for donation. Donors should be sure to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of fluids before they donate. Blood collection takes about 10 minutes and the total process about one hour. Individuals must be 17 years of age and older to participate. All donors will receive a barbecue gift set.
